The lineup includes two different shapes to choose from. The EX shape measures 16" x 8" with a 5" length grip. This shape is considered the industry standard, providing a great balance between reach, power, and control. On the other hand, the MX shape measures 16.5" x 7.5" with a 5.75" length grip. This shape is ideal for those seeking increased reach, power, and spin.

If you're unsure which paddle to choose, we recommend going with the EX. Paddles with thicker cores offer more control and a softer feel upon contact. However, as the cores become thicker, the power and size of the sweet spot decrease. To address this issue, Engage introduced 'Core & Skin Dimensioning', a paddle engineering innovation. This technology allows us to create thick core paddles that maintain a large sweet spot and provide the right amount of power for putting the ball away, while still ensuring full control, balance, and positioning.

If you find that you need to over-swing to put the ball away or achieve a deep serve/return with the Encore 6.0 series or any other thick core paddle, you may require additional power. This is where the Encore EX (and Encore MX) come in. With these paddles, you can swing at a normal speed while maintaining control and the ability to recover for the next shot, whether you're putting the ball away or needing help with a deeper serve or return.

The Encore EX paddle features a 'ControlPro' Polymer core with Vibration Control Technology. The outer skin is made of FiberTEK’ for maximum forgiveness and spin.
